My recovery journey from childhood trauma and abuse started 20 years ago. I have written a book including those early years of therapy, journaling and discovery. I am excited to take these years of discovery and come along side you. Following an outline of my book, I can help you learn how to live life authentically, continue your healing journey, and ultimately help you to arrive at a place where shame no longer plays a part in decisions, the direction of your life and relationships. We’ll come up with a plan based on your specific needs and goals.

Am I a licensed therapist?

Short answer... No.

What is the difference?

Therapist 

•Professional who helps you make positive changes in your life
•Focuses on helping you heal from past traumas
•Helps you cope with mental health issues
•Shows you how to develop insight into your emotions and behaviors.
•May use various therapeutic techniques such as cognitive-behavioral therapy or psychoanalysis to help address mental health concerns
•Trained mental health professional licensed to provide clinical interventions.

Coach

•Professional who helps you make positive changes in your life
•Focuses on helping you set and achieve personal and professional goals
•Helps you improve your self-esteem and develop positive habits and behaviors
•Use various coaching techniques such as motivational interviewing or positive psychology to help you identify your strengths and potential to create a plan for achieving your desired outcome.
•Coaches come from a variety of backgrounds and may not require specific licensure or certification.
•Can not provide therapy or diagnose and treat mental health conditions.
